Padstow was and still is a busy fishing port as it was once back in Elizabethan times, now the local fishermen supply the multiple restaurants within the town. Padstow plays a major part in the tourism industry in Cornwall, welcoming millions each year to a little bit of Cornish life. Tourism first boomed when the railway in 1899 was built, running a regular service between London and Padstow and since the town has thrived on tourism.
Sennen Beach is situated just around the corner from Land’s End and is the most westernly beach in mainland Britan. Sennen faces the full force of the Atlanic Ocean making it the perfect surfing spot and when theres a storm it lives up to its name. The sand dunes here offer a shelter and is generally a little quieter on that side of the stream. Access to the beach is easy from the large car park and there are toilets here. The village centre is located just a minute or two away with a couple of shops, cafes and pub. There’s also a fairly upmarket restaurant right on the beach.
Chapel Pool is a tidal pool located in the South East of Cornwall and this natural pool is nothing short of beautiful. We have taken many cold water swims at Chapel pool and loved each and everyone, the perfect afternoon in winter or summer.
