Padstow was and still is a busy fishing port as it was once back in Elizabethan times, now the local fishermen supply the multiple restaurants within the town. Padstow plays a major part in the tourism industry in Cornwall, welcoming millions each year to a little bit of Cornish life. Tourism first boomed when the railway in 1899 was built, running a regular service between London and Padstow and since the town has thrived on tourism.
Duporth Beach is located in South East Cornwall and situated near St Austell. This beach remains quiet throughout summer and winter which is unknown being this close to a mjaor cornish town. The beach has low cliffs backed on to it and covered in Cornish plants and shrubs otherwise it appears out of a rock coastline which stretches for half a mile. Low tide at this beach uncovers rock pools full of Cornish marine life. Duporth doesn’t have any facilities near and those looking for parking will need to park at Porthpean or Charlestown.
Lady Bassets Baths is located in North Cornwall situated near Portreath town. This seaside town is most famous for its harbour wall and tin pot looking house on the end of the harbour wall which withstands some of the largest waves in Cornwall when theres a storm brewing.
