Port Isaac is a small fishing village built into a cliffside with interesting buildings surrounding the port. The narrow and winding streets are full of white-washed old fisherman cottages made from traditional granite, slate fronted houses which many are listed as of historic importance. Port Isaac now is a beautiful port full of life, still has a small working fishing fleet but is now seen as a place that tourists flock to see the beautiful harbour and walk the narrow pathways around.
Praa Sands Beach is located in the middle of Penzance and Helston. This is a large sandy golden beach with plenty of facilities and a seasonal lifeguard service with shops located right on the beach where you can rent surfboards. Praa Sands is a well known surf spot on Cornwall’s West Coast, and during spring there can be some great waves and they can get pretty big and more powerful than a lot of other Cornish beaches.
Longships Lighthouse is located in West Cornwall offshore from the famous Lands end attraction. This lighthouse has stood the test of strength and resilience since 1875, battled heavy storms and many ships have been stranded amongst the rocks in stormy seas.
