Falmouth is one of Cornwall’s largest towns, situated within a relatively sheltered bay on the south coast, Falmouth is a town all about water. This old harbour town was once a fine fishing village with a variety of boats now it still holds their small fishing boats to superyachts, opposite facing to these boats on the south side is an industrial dock catering for all sizes of ships and at the mouth of the Fal is one of the latest natural anchorages due to this you will see some of the worlds biggest ships here.
Prussia Cove is a small secluded Cove situated inbetween Perranuthnoe beach and Praa Sands beach, most people consider its neighbour Bessy’s Cove as the main beach but in the section there are a small series of Cove one after the other rich in smuggling history. This sheltered little cove is a fantastic place to explore with rock pools, a cave and tumbledown granite fishing huts built into the side of the cliff next to the coast path. Other reminders of years-gone-by are the deep cart tracks cut into the rock where seaweed was hauled up to be used on the fields as fertiliser.
Mallet’s Cottage is based in South East Cornwall in the beautiful location of the Roseland Peninsula. Mallet’s cottage is a mysterious abandoned hut along the south west coastal path where many walkers, hikers and runners enjoy a sit down and view across into the english channel. Mallet’s cottage, an old fishermans hut has also stood the test of time, standing tall since the 19th century and as you can imagine has seen many stormy days.
