Crantock is located one mile away from Newquay next to the Gannel Estuary. Home to expansive beaches and big sand dunes, this popular location will be home to many tourists during the summer months. Another popular destination for surfing is facing the Atlantic. You will see surfers at different skill levels going out catching some waves and once you’re done there you can have a very traditional Cornish cream tea and even a beer afterward at the pubs nearby.
Porthoustock Beach is located in West Cornwall Situated in the east side of the Lizard Peninsula a couple of miles from St Keverne. High tide sees the beach become a consistent pebbly beach with quarry workings either end. At the back of the beach is car parking looking through to what people would describe as a small fishing cove with a small fleet of fishing boats that still work the beach here. Low tide the beach drops and shows a tiny area of sand making that the prime spot to build sand castles.
Mallet’s Cottage is based in South East Cornwall in the beautiful location of the Roseland Peninsula. Mallet’s cottage is a mysterious abandoned hut along the south west coastal path where many walkers, hikers and runners enjoy a sit down and view across into the english channel. Mallet’s cottage, an old fishermans hut has also stood the test of time, standing tall since the 19th century and as you can imagine has seen many stormy days.
