Located near the River Camel Estuary is the small village of Polzeath. This village is a well known place for surfers and beach lovers to come and explore. Pedn Vounder Beach is one of Cornwall’s gems and you may have seen this pop up on social media. This beach is set among the stunning cliffs of Treryn Dinas with crystal clear turquoise water and a beautiful white sand beach. The name Pedn Vounder translates from the Cornish ‘pedn’, meaning head or end and ‘vounder’, meaning lane. Pedn Vounder is located at where Porthcurno beach ends and during low tide you can walk from one to the other however be careful as the tide comes in you may face being cut off and climbing up a steep cliff.
The Mousehole rock pool is located in the Cornish fishing village of Mousehole. This tidal pool offers a beautiful panoramic views of Mount’s Bay and across to St Michael’s Mount and even further to the Lizard Peninsula.
