Bonfire Night is back with a bang, and it’s almost time to enjoy some of Cornwall’s most dazzling firework displays. While there are a few changes this year, Falmouth’s annual Cricket Club bonanza has been cancelled due to safety concerns, and Truro’s show-stopping event has also been scrapped but don’t worry, there are still plenty of fantastic displays taking place across the Cornwall to enjoy!
From huge community gatherings to small village celebrations, it’s time to wrap up warm, grab a hot chocolate (or maybe a toffee apple), and enjoy the best Bonfire Night events Cornwall has to offer in the coming weeks.
Newquay Fireworks Displays Bonfire Night
Truro (Cancelled)
Truro City Council’s annual Bonfire Night display was set to move to a new venue this year following last year’s “chaos” and police concerns. Traditionally held at Tremorvah Playing Field, the 2024 event was planned for Truro Cattle Market. However, town clerk David Rodda confirmed during a council meeting on Monday, October 20, that the event has now been cancelled, explaining that it has simply become “too big” for the council to manage alone.
