Truro
You can’t miss Cornwall’s capital, Truro, lit up with lights from Victoria Square down to Boscawen Street. Truro is packed with bars and restaurants to start your celebrations off before you head to Lemon Quay, where you can catch not one but two fantastic firework shows. The family show starts at 7:30pm so your kids can join the fun, and of course the countdown starts for the party animals at 11:59pm. At the heart of Cornwall, it’s not to be missed.
St Ives
The idyllic town of St Ives is known for its beautiful winding streets, harbour beaches, and art scene. But it’s a whole new place on New Year’s Eve. The harbour front becomes entirely pedestrianised, so you can roam the streets and party on the sands at low tide. The night kicks off at 8pm, and by midnight you’ll be watching one of the county’s most spectacular firework shows over the waters of St Ives Harbour Beach

Looe
Looe is a top spot all year round, with cobbled streets, beaches, and plenty of food options. It also offers a stunning view of the fireworks, which you can watch with the kids at 6pm or enjoy at midnight with the night time crowd. And the best part? Fancy dress is more than encouraged, it’s expected. Stand on the quay and watch the colours of the fireworks reflect off the harbour in one of Cornwall’s most versatile and fun towns.

Perranporth
Ring in the new year with the sounds of the 80’s at the UK’s first pub directly on the beach, The Watering Hole in Perranporth. Known for its live music and excellent location, this New Year’s Eve will be hosted by Martin Kemp’s 80’s Party, so you can rock your way into 2025 right on the sand. With its long stretch of sand and iconic Chapel Rock, the beach itself is a stunning place to watch the town’s fireworks over Perranporth beach.

Polperro
Looking for a pub style New Year’s Eve? Polperro might be the place for you. A beautiful little Cornish town, Polperro welcomes the new year with a round of 5 different pub trips before the whole town spills out onto the Big Green for a real party. A seaside Cornish beauty, this little town packs a big punch with its firework show and atmosphere.
Falmouth
Falmouth is up there on the list of our favourite places in Cornwall for a good time, and this harbour town does not disappoint for New Year’s Eve. The docks of Falmouth are home to countless boats and pubs, and to celebrate the new year as many of them as possible are decked out in festive lights and fare. Plenty of pubs and restaurants offer New Year’s Eve menus so you can eat your fill before midnight. The fireworks are based at Pendennis castle, and light up the sky no matter where you are in town. But we recommend the harbours for that classic Cornish seafront feel.
